The Rights and Roles Management will be replaced towards a role-based access control system for handling User Permissions and Groups, which will be fully implemented with the release of Laboperator v4.0.0.
Note: The owner of a Resource is always an administrator.
On Application level
On the application level, users can have two different roles.
- Administrator: Can add/remove/edit members and has access to the server administration section
- Member: All other users without administrational rights
On Resource level
As described in the article on Collections and Resources, to any Resource (e.g. device, workflow template, or dashboard) granular access management can be applied. Therefore, four different roles can be applied to users:
