Voice notes are at the heart of Labfolder Go. They allow you to take hands-free notes with ease, and without having to interrupt your experiment(s).
We recommend using a high-quality ANC headset or microphone such as the Shokz OpenComm. We explain how to connect and use a headset with Labfolder Go here.
Create a voice note
To start recording a voice note, say your wake word ,e.g.:
"Hey Labfolder"
A dialogue screen will pop up and you will hear an audio cue, after which you can start recording your observation. It’s as simple as that!
Guidelines for better recordings
How to improve transcription accuracy
- Wait for the earcon (sound confirmation) before you start talking
- Speak in a relatively slow and articulate manner
- Avoid lengthy breaks between words and sentences to not be cut off
- Correct your own note(s) by clicking or tapping on it and editing it on the web or mobile app
For high noise environments we recommend the following:
- Make sure you are using a headset with ANC (active noise cancelling), such as the Shokz OpenComm.
- Try different wake words. Some might work better for you than others.
- Adjust the Wake Word Sensitivity in Labfolder Go’s settings
- Use a Smart Button [ADD HYPERLINK] as an alternative to the wake word
