The ‘Settings’ menu
To open the settings, tap on the three bars in the upper left corner of your Labfolder Go mobile app and then again on Settings. There, you will find several customization options:
Select and customize your wake word
By default, your wake word is set to:
"Hey Labfolder"
If you experience insufficient responsiveness when using a specific wake word, we recommend to
- Try a different one! Anecdotally, single-word wake words work better with certain accents (i.e. german) and dialects.
- Increase the wake word sensitivity
- Use a suitable headset
Opting for a different wake word is also recommended if several people are using Labfolder Go in the same environment. This minimizes the risk of accidentally triggering the Labfolder Go app on devices of uninvolved colleagues.
Adjusting the wake word sensitivity
If you notice that Labfolder Go does not recognize your wake word regardless of choice, increasing the wake word sensitivity can prove useful.
Conversely, lowering the sensitivity can also help avoid accidental recordings in loud or busy work environments.
Voice recording timings
You can further customize Labfolder Go by adjusting the recording timing of your voice notes:
- If you prefer to log longer, more complex observations in a continuous voice note, we recommend to set the recording timing to (very) Leisurely.
- For users who tend towards brief and/or concise voice notes, a Balanced or even Fast recording timing might prove a better fit.
Any recording can be logged immediately with the help of a stop word, e.g. “Stop” or “Done”, or by pressing the Smart Button once.
