You can use Laboperator Automations to automate behaviors globally and independently from a specific Workflow. Based on certain triggers (e.g. a Resource is opened) different actions can be executed (e.g. a Webhook is executed to update Workflow runs in a Collection).
Note: This feature is currently in a beta phase and therefore no documentation about the YML scripting is available yet. Please contact your account manager if you need further information. Furthermore, the automation feature has to be activated by an organizational administrator on the Server Administration level.

View Automation
To view all current Registered Automations, please follow the steps below:
- Click on More in the navigation menu.
- Navigate to Server Administration > AUTOMATION. All current Registered Automations are displayed in the center of the page.
Add Automation
To add an Automation to Laboperator, please follow the steps below:
- Click on More in the navigation menu.
- Navigate to Server Administration > AUTOMATION. Click on the three dots in the top right corner and select New Automation.
- Enter a name, upload a YML-file with the automation, and decide whether to activate the automation directly on upload.
- After automation is created, you can view it (and all others) in the AUTOMATION section. From here you can activate/deactivate, edit, download, or delete the Automation.
Currently available behaviors for automation
To use an Automation in Laboperator you need a YML-file with set-up triggers and actions. In the following, you find an overview of currently available triggers and actions for automation. For more information please ask your account manager.

Edit/Update Automation
To edit/update the name of a Registered Automation, please follow the steps below:
- Click on More in the navigation menu.
- Navigate to Server Administration > AUTOMATION. Click on the three dots on the right side of the Automation you want to edit. Select Edit.
- Enter a new name for the Automation and click on SUBMIT.
- The Automation with the changed name is displayed.
Enable/Disable Automation
To enable or disable current Registered Automations, please follow the steps below:
- Click on More in the navigation menu.
- Navigate to Server Administration > AUTOMATION. Select the toggle on the right side of the Automation to enable or disable the Automation.
Delete Automation
To delete an Automation, please follow the steps below:
- Click on More in the navigation menu.
- Navigate to Server Administration > AUTOMATION. Click on the three dots on the right side of the Automation you want to edit. Select Delete.
- Click on CONFIRM.
Download Automation
To download the YML-file of an Automation, please follow the steps below:
- Click on More in the navigation menu.
- Navigate to Server Administration > AUTOMATION. Click on the three dots on the right side of the Automation you want to download. Select Download.
