Phone and Headset

Modified on Tue, 22 Apr at 9:22 AM

Labfolder Go works best when used with a headset or microphone with built-in Active Noise Cancelling (ANC), such as our recommended Shokz OpenComm. However, you can also follow this guide to pair any other Bluetooth headset.*

Connect the headset with your mobile phone

  1. Make sure your mobile phone's Bluetooth is turned on and the Shokz OpenComm headset is turned off
  2. Press and hold the power button ("+") on your Shokz OpenComm headset until you hear a tone and the LED light starts flashing red and blue
  3. On your mobile phone, go to the Bluetooth settings and search for available devices.
  4. Select "OpenComm" from the list of available devices
  5. Once your mobile phone is successfully paired with your Shokz OpenComm (or any other) headset, you can start using Labfolder Go!

Turning the headset on/off

Press and hold the "+" button until the LED indicator flashes blue (headset is on) or red (headset is off).

How to wear the headset

Pick up the headset and position the earhooks on your ears, so that the microphone is pointing downwards and to the front.

* The transcription accuracy of your recordings correlates with the quality of your paired headset or microphone. While possible, we strongly advise against using Labfolder Go with the built-in microphone of your mobile device.
