Transfer Ownership

This article provides a recommended process which to transfer the ownership for leaving members conveniently by. Simply changing a username is not recommended. If you change the username on the profile page of a user's account, then all content would be by the new name, but you would clearly work outside of regulation compliance.


The following steps detail a regulation-compliant process:

  1. Go to projects page and select "Show hidden items".

  1. Go to the Sidebar > Projects page and filter for the member, which actually would need to be labeled as owner on this page.

3. This will reduce the overview to the relevant Folders and Projects which need to be changed. Change the ownership for each of them under the 3 dots options.




  1. Alternatively, you can select all the user's projects and perform Bulk actions.

    4.Undo the setting from step 1.

    5. Remove users under Sidebar > Groups. When all Folders, Projects and templates were transferred successfully, you won't get the error message and can proceed with inviting the new members.
